In this acoustic guitar buying guide we’ve picked out 5 of our favourite cheap acoustic guitars that are gonna sound great and feel nice to play, so if you’re looking for an affordable acoustic to start learning on, you’re not gonna go wrong with any of these, and they all come in at well under £150.

We’ve picked these guitars because they all come from established, reputable manufacturers such as Yamaha, Fender, Tanglewood, Epiphone and Ibanez, and because of that they offer much a higher build quality than some of the unbranded guitars you can pick up in supermarkets or on online auction sites, which often tend to be poorly constructed and pretty difficult to play, especially if you are just starting out.

All of our guitars today came straight out of the box with a pretty decent setup, so the strings aren’t too high off the fret board, making it much easier on your fingers, and they all hold their tuning really well, something that’s essential on any guitar.
