Mumbai style vada pav has its special vada pav chutney, while Ahmedabad style vada pav is totally different. Valsad Vada Pav is also very popular in Gujarat. This recipe is Ahmedabad Style Vada Pav which I like the most. Try this recipe and I am sure you will also enjoy this version of Vada Pav or pav vada.
Ingredients:
For Vada Batter:
1-1/2 Cup Gram Flour
1/4 Cup Rice Flour
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
Water as Require
1 tsp Hot Oil
For Vada Pav Green Chutney:
1 Bowl Fresh Coriander
1/4 Cup Mint Leaves
2 Green Chillies
1 inch Ginger
1 tbsp Gramflour Sev
1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
1/4 tsp Black Salt
Salt to Taste
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Water as Require
For Vada:
1 tsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
7-8 Curry Leaves
2 Chopped Green Chillies
5 Boiled Potatoes
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Coriander Cumin Powder
1/4 tsp Garam Masala
Salt to Taste
1 tbsp Ginger Chilly Paste
Fresh Coriander
1/2 Lemon Juice
Other Ingredients:
Achaar Masala
1 tsp Butter
1 tsp Achaar Masala
Green Chutney
