For those who can't get enough of their phone, now they make ODBII Scan Tools that link to your phone via Bluetooth, and use an app. The benefit is that if the app is updated, you'll now about it, or your phone may update it automatically so you'll always have the latest software.

This handles all of the basic scan tool functions like turning off the Check Engine light, clearing codes, I/M readiness monitors, live stream data, etc.
