DESCRIPTION: “Somos Solei” … a little taste of vibrant colors in traditional costumes and traditional dances from different regions of Mexico (Son de Colima, Huasteca Veracruzana, Veracruz Antiguo)
ABOUT THE COMPANY: Based in Pasadena, TX, Danzas Folkloricas de Solei was founded in 2016. DF de Solei is a dedication to Robert & Evelyn's firstborn in Heaven, Solei. Promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Mexico through traditional mexican dances, this award winning dance company is formed of over 50 dancers ranging from 3 to adults. The dancers have performed all over the Houston area and Texas at various events, venues and competitions, including the Consulado de Mexico, International Festivals, and Fox 26.

DIRECTORS: Robert & Evelyn Mejia bring years of experience as dancers with different folklorico dance companies around the Houston area. Both have
participated in extensive workshops throughout the state of Texas with directors
from Mexico. They have had the honor to dance at Fox 26 along with Anthony
Gonzalez, the voice of Miguel in Disney/Pixar's Oscar-nominated film "Coco".
