Gobekitepe - Built by early humans 11,600 years ago. Before metal tools, before the wheel. Before writing and engineering. Temples of precision-cut 14-tonne pillars. Adorned with totems, animal figurines, and mysterious symbols. Also, the earliest three-dimensional depictions carved into stone. A so complex and so monumental site that transformed our vision of the ancient world.
Gobekitepe, one of the world's oldest and most impressive archaeological sites, is located near Orencik village, 15 km northeast of Sanliurfa province in the Southeastern Anatolia region of Turkey. This unique historical site is helping to disprove previously accepted truths about human history.
