The first list of the BJP came out today and it was followed by protest by quite a few candidates who were left out. Many hopefuls were also angry that they had not been given a nomination. There were protests in several parts of Karnataka but is this going to dent the chances of the BJP or could it proof to be that master stroke. From the Shikaripura seat, notable candidates were B Y Vijayendra. Many party members gathered when the list was revealed to protest the omission of their leaders. Anil Benake, a sitting BJP lawmaker from Belagavi North, organised a protest yesterday night after he was turned down for a seat. Last night in Belagavi's Ramdurg constituency, supporters of BJP Legislator Mahadevappa Yadawad also demonstrated against the rejection of a ticket. With their initial list, the BJP fielded 53 fresh faces, and they gave Chikka Revanna, who had just joined the party, a ticket for the Ramdurg constituency. We are joined by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya who will be expressing his views on this issue. "Every election you have seen especially elections found under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Amit Shah ji and now of course under the leadership of our national president J.P Nadda ji," said BJP's Tejasvi Surya.
