Wild boar are known omnivores, like us humans. They feed on everything found or foraged in the woods - roots and bulbs, grass, nuts, berries, and seeds. Acorns and beechnuts are the main food source in autumn. They even eat leaves, mushrooms, and bark if better food is scarce. Occasionally wild boars indulge in meat - earthworms, insects, bird eggs, or frogs. Some sources say they also kill and eat newborn fawns or leverets if found on the way. I'm not sure about killing, but this video is proof that wild boars enjoy eating other animal remains, even though it is literally raining acorns this year.
