Dave Weinbach is a national pickleball champion. Though it wasn't his first win, he and his partner, Kyle Yates won gold in the men's doubles Pro division at the first ever US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida. The match was broadcast to a national audience on CBS Sports and was a turning point in the advancement of the sport.

Dave plays with Paddletek's Tempest paddle for doubles. He says it gives him "superior feel and control for that 3rd shot drop." When Dave is playing singles he prefers the Bantam EX-L for extra power.
