Non-Nigerian UK citizens troop out to support Yoruba Nation and Biafra.
July 2021 Rally
The Yoruba people are an indigenous people of Southwestern Nigeria. The Igbo people (Biafra) are the indigenous people of Southeastern Nigeria.
Due to the ongoing crisis of genocide and marginalization by a terrorist group from Northern Nigeria who have occupied the federal government and are commiting ongoing genocide of whole communities, destruction and takeover of farmlands and communities, extra-judiciary arrests and killings, displacement of the people, and the heightened crisis of heinous atrocities comitted by their fulani herdsmen foot soldiers over the past decade, which have escalated in southern Nigeria in the past 3 years, the Igbo and Yoruba peoples of Nigeria are asking for self-determination. They want to form their own countries and are calling on the British government who created the colonial entity Nigeria to honor the terms of the agreement in the 1914 Amalgamation of Nigeria which brought the different ethnic nations of Nigeria together. Additionally, they are calling on the United Nations and the international community to intervene.
The 1914 Amalgamation and the Constitution of Nigerian permits the combined ethnic nations after 100 years to determine how they would like to continue - either as one nation or make their own self-determination.
Neither the Igbo people (Biafra) or the Yoruba people want to continue as part of Nigeria and have asked the Nigerian government to honor the terms of the Nigerian Constitution and the Amalgamation which expired in 2014.
