The setup script (or setup wizard, as Anthony likes to call it) will launch automatically once the Cisco device launches. Anthony will walk you through each step of the initial configuration, and he’ll alert you to a few surprises along the way. The first is the setup command itself; you might expect it to be a user mode or privilege mode command, but it’s actually a global configuration mode command. He’ll demonstrate setting up the management interface with a simple “nameif” command. There are several choices along the way, such as whether you want to set the adaptive security appliance to act like a router or a switch.
