How to spot the Thames seals, West London Wildlife at its best. A quick guide on what to look out for, to give you the best chance of spotting the large Grey Seal(s) in the upper Thames in Richmond, Twickenham and Teddington.
It is incredible, but the River Thames in West London has a lot of wildlife, including marine mammals! The Thames Seals are among the largest wildlife in West London, larger even than the deer in Richmond Park and Bushy Park. Grey Seals and Harbour Seals are frequently seen in the river at Twickenham, Richmond and Teddington. The large adult Grey Seal (subject of this film) is a popular local celebrity and affectionately referred to as #Twickerseal.
