Many Noodler's inks have a story behind them. The story behind Antietam is a sad one. It commemorates the bloodiest day in American history: the Battle of Antietam during the US Civil War, when almost 23,000 people were killed, wounded, or went missing. The ink does look like dried blood.
If you can get past all that, it's a pretty color. Like many Noodler's inks, it's a great shader. The color reminds me very much of Diamine Ancient Copper. It's a rich, orangy brown color. I've never been a fan of orange, but the color is definitely growing on me.
