A combination of dodgy accounting techniques and atmospheric circumstances has led to Australia's reported emissions technically falling, something that the Government loves to take credit for. But when you look at the carbon-intensive industries, our emissions have actually been *increasing*.
Plenty of other countries don't report land use in their emissions accounts but Australia does, and it's easy to see why. Because without it, our emissions have increased by 7%!
