To continue our time in Idaho, we went hiking in the Sawtooth Mountains and visited the Dark Sky Reserve near Stanley, Idaho! We decided to do the 10 mile loop trail for Sawtooth Lake. This trail was moderately difficult and we didn't feel it was overly strenuous, our 10-pound dog was even able to complete the whole hike! The views along the trail are stunning and you truly feel as though you're engulfed by the mountains. The hike went by quickly and we were rewarded with the gorgeous Sawtooth Lake. This is a must do day hike with great payoff. After finishing our hike, we headed back to Stanley to spend some time in a hot spring (go check out our previous video!) We ended up learning about the Dark Sky Reserve from someone we met that day, and absolutely did not want to miss out on the chance to visit this (possibly) once in a lifetime experience. We are SO GLAD we didn't skip out because WOW! Visiting a dark sky reserve is a must add to any travel list! Being able to step out of your car and immediately see the Milky Way is something we will never forget. We're hoping to be able to visit more Dark Sky Reserves in the future. Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to subscribe :)
