The RÁBA-Steiger 250 is a 250-horsepower, high-performance, all-wheel drive agricultural tractor (tractor) manufactured by the Rába Magyar Vagon- és Gépgyár under license from the American company Steiger (type Cougar II). It replaced the 245 hp series in 1979. Due to its high tractive power, it is primarily suitable for the operation of heavy tillage machine components (heavy disc, plough). It can also work on loose ground, because up to 8 wheels can be mounted on it, reducing ground pressure. Its fundamental shortcoming is that its all-wheel drive is structured in such a way that it has neither a central nor an axle-by-axle differential lock, so even if one wheel spins out, it will quickly become buried.
