In this segment of India Upfront with Times Now anchor Rahul Shivshankar we are discussing the ruckus that recently occurred over Atiq's murder in Patna. Following Friday prayers, protesters sang "Atiq Ahmed Amar Rahe" and held signs denouncing the Modi and Yogi governments. The signs were displayed in front of Patna Junction's Jama Masjid. Atiq Ahmed, a gangster-turned-politician, and his brother Ashraf were slain on April 16 in Prayagraj. The two were shot and murdered in Prayagraj when three individuals opened fire on them close to a medical institution. Soon after being shot on camera by unidentified gunmen in front of police and the media, Atiq and Ashraf fell to the ground. The UP Police immediately apprehended all three of the gunmen involved in the incident, albeit one officer suffered just minor wounds. A few hours after his son Asad Ahmed's funeral, the former MP was assassinated. We are joined by several panelists to present their perspectives.
