Lateral movement, in the butterfly and on your feet, is extremely important to practice and implement into your game. This drills you'll see here can be used in goalie specific training, but can be introduced into team practices as well as they benefit all positions. The second drill style you'll want to introduce to older goaltenders that have been working on the RVH and are familiar with it. In the video, we discuss the importance of keeping your hands projected over the puck in tight and to remain composed in the butterfly without relying on going in to the splits!
