Narrating a story has always been great fun. We have been listening to
stories from our grandparents, our parents and our teachers. There are so many
ways in which we can narrate a story. We can use flashcards, hand puppets, stick
puppets, and finger puppets.
But in this Pandemic when the world was upside down our teachers made us
realize through the virtual classes that technology is a boon we just need to try
our hands on it. We learnt to create our own stories on an application called the
Story Jumper. Do you want to know about it? I created my own book of stories in the StoryJumper App using various
features. I have inserted my own voice in it too. My storybook even has my name
on it. Isn’t it amazing!
Let me take you on a tour of the Story created by your own writer Child.
Storyjumper is a website that offers teachers and students the chance to create their own digital books. There is a teacher option, including creating a template for students to use. Users can write and create their own stories by adding text, characters, images, and backgrounds. They can upload their own images or use the ones provided by the website. They can also make voice recordings or add background music that accompanies their stories. Changes in the book are saved automatically. Students can work together on the same book.
Storyjumper is an interactive, creative and fun way to encourage students to practice their writing and pronunciation skills. It is a useful tool for project work or to support collaboration between students. While initial set-up time is quite high, students may find the creation engaging and motivating.
