The government of Assam has signed an MoU with National Building Construction Corporation on 2nd February of 2018 for setting up a 65-storey twin tower trade centre in Guwahati. The construction of the twin tower trade centre was started on 18th July of 2018.

Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI), also known as Guwahati International Airport, is one of the biggest airports in India. In a bid to connect the Northeastern states to the international markets and boost trade with neighbouring countries, the Airports Authority of India(AAI) has initiated an ambitious project to develop a new integrated terminal building at LGBI in January 2017.

The Assam Government launched a project for the transformation of the Inland Water Transport (IWT) system on the National Waterways.

BRIDGE OVER BRAHMAPUTRA:
As a part of a major push to infrastructure in Assam, a six-lane bridge will come up over the Brahmaputra river in Guwahati. The foundation of the bridge was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 9, 2019. The bridge will connect Guwahati and North Guwahati and the length of the bridge will be 1600 meters with a six-lane carriageway.
