We have developed an app to detect double-yolk eggs. It relies on a firmware hack to persuade the phone to emit ultrasound pulses from the speakers, and detects the echoes through the microphone.
This enables the app to "see" the internal structure of the egg well enough to tell if there are 1 or 2 yolks inside.
The app is not available for sale as the ultrasound hack is not something most people would be able to carry out safely, and without this the app will not function.
