A study about the Amazon's biodiversity recorded more than 16,000 minutes of audio in the Carajás National Forest, a protected area in southeastern Pará state, Brazil.
Analysis of the recorded material has identified more than 230 bird species, in addition to mammals, amphibians and insects.
The findings aim to monitor the effects of climate change on animal behavior and also aid conservation measures.
