The proceedings of the day in Lok Sabha started amid protests from the Opposition parties. Speaker Om Birla urged the members to refrain from protesting at the gates of the parliament. The paper was laid by Arjun Singh Meghwal informing the House on the Bill to amend the Government of Union Territories Act, 1963, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 be referred to as a Joint Committee of the Houses consisting of the 27 Members from this House.
