I talk about the food I carried out on during my Fall thru-hike of the Arizona Trail in 2019/2020. I discuss cooking, dehydrated meals, snacks, food storage, and a bit about the importance of nutrition on the trail. I did the trail entirely vegetarian and aimed to reduce my plastic waste as much as possible, so my food items will probably differ from yours. But, hopefully, this video gives you a starting point for your own food planning for the AZT! Being my resupply plan was primarily supported throughout my hike, I don't cover much about actually getting your resupply in this video, but I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you may have on a case-by-case basis.
I know many people had to delay their hike out on the Arizona Trail due to the COVID19 Virus. What a bummer! Luckily, the Fall season out on the AZT has its own type of beauty and it is totally do-able!
When I was planning my Fall southbound thru-hike of the AZT, I found it rather difficult to find the information necessary to feel very sound in my planning before I set out. Through these next few videos, I'll be reviewing what equipment I carried during my hike in the Fall of 2019/Winter of 2020. I'll discuss what worked, what didn't, and what I would change if I were to hike it knowing what I do now. I'll also try my best to share about how a Fall southbound hike differs from a Spring hike and what you need to be prepared for on your journey.
Please feel free to leave any questions in the comments section and I will try my best to answer them in my next videos! You can also DM me over on Instagram @TrailTime.Jake or drop me an e-mail @ Trailtime96@gmail.com
