The Albany State University Gender Studies Committee held its 5th Annual Women's Studies Symposium in 2013. The event included various lecture, presentations and panel discussions provided by faculty, staff and students. Dr. Juanita Johnson-Bailey, director of the Institute of Women's Studies at University of Georgia, served as the keynote speaker. The symposium took place March 13, 2013 on Albany State's campus in Albany, Georgia.
