In Japanese, panashi comes from words such as dashippanashi or to leave water running, sashipanashi or to leave something plugged in, akeppanashi or to leave something open like a refrigerator, nagashippanashi or to leave the water running, kakeppanashi or to leave something turned on like a tv and tsukeppanashi or to leave a light on. So, Panashi is the art of doing something and then leaving what you’re doing in the middle of it while not cleaning up. Pretty fucking elaborate for an environmental PSA from Japan
