Part of Dance Umbrella 2011. Mathurin Bolze and Hedi Thabet, both circus artists, come together in this touching and humourous duet celebrating companionship. Their playful interactions centre on the fact that between them they have only three legs and they make several creative and comical attempts to merge their two bodies into one. Accompanied by a lone chair and two pairs of crutches, Bolze and Thabet's exchange dances between tenderness and brutality. Their dynamic and at times astounding acrobatics feature a memorable creation with two heads, four arms and three legs among other images that will remain with you. With grace, whimsy and tremendous energy, the meeting of these two artists is sure to inspire.
