British MK3 BREN LMG, deactivated and purchased from D and B Militaria.
The BREN was a licensed British version of the Czechoslovakian ZGB 33 light machine gun, commonly taking 30 round box magazines the BREN was designed to be far more portable than the more common larger belt fed machine guns and could be fired on the move and quickly be re-deployed.
The BREN saw extensive service in World War two and was used throughout the Cold War.
It used British .303 ammunition, after the war and upgrade program was undertaken to convert most BREN guns to .308/7.62x51mm ammunition.
