Removing a broken CV axle is different than removing a working CV axle using hand tools. Removing the 6 CV Axle mounting bolts is difficult because the CV Axle will spin whenever force is applied to the CV axle mounting bolts. Prying a screw driver in between 2 cv axle mounting bolts or placing a socket and breaker bar one of the cv axle mounting bolts will keep the cv axle from spinning
