I have had some incredible finds through 2021 including a Bronze Age axehead, some beautiful hammered coins, silver Roman and more, but the highlight for me was my #detectival gold hammered coin….. my first ever hammered gold coin and my second ever gold coin In 22 years of detecting, the first having come just a few months before.

It was made all the sweeter by the fact someone dug up the coin along with a tin can which they left without properly checking the hole!! 😬

A great weekend of beer and fun with the The Scottish Detectorist(s) new members Sneaky Pete, Marty and Paul even though for most the detecting
was poor.

Shame about my tent though! 😂 ⛺️
