For those of you working in tech, you do have an advantage over others.
My honest advice to you is to start working remotely for any company in Saudi even if you plan to come here on a residence permit and I'll tell you why.
So if you like to come to Saudi a company would have to issue a Visa and trust me since I run a company myself it's a very troublesome process. Even when things are digitized I still wonder how people back then when systems were not digitized used to issue visas for people outside Saudi. So even if an employer gives you a job offer and agrees to bring you to Saudi. He needs this much motivation to go through all the obstacles he will face when arranging a visa for him. First of all you will have to make sure his company has certain level of naqatat points so he can issue a new visa. Then he will have to issue the visa. Then once you are here, he will have to arrange for an ministry of labor agreement. and then arrange for your insurance and the list goes on and on. Now don't get me wrong I don't get demotivated because companies still do issue visas but my advice to you is to be proactive. so what you have to do is to increase the level of motivation for your potential employer so they can go through all these obstacles to arrange a Visa for you. One of the many ways you can do that is by making a company dependable on you. Another ways you can prove your talents by start working remotely and showings results. This way you can increase loyalty and at the same time your potential employer will be able to see the value you're adding to his company.
I'm not making this up from thin air. I have seen and witnessed cases of my university friends who worked remotely from pakistan maybe for a year or two years and getting full salaries while residing outside saudi. Then they became so important to the company that they were rewarded with a full time job offer with a visa and now they are happily working inside Saudi.
if you are interested to know what my friends did to find remote jobs in saudi, let me know in the comments section and I would definitely make a separate video on it.
