For the uninitiated, "Be Like an Editor" was a project which I came up with in the summer of 2017, as a parody of YouTubers Composerily and Imaginary Ambition, and their "HOW TO SOUND LIKE" genre of videos. It was aimed at potential fandom editors who were editing rhythmically, and wanted to improve their skill. It was meant to be satirical and poke fun at the largest and/or most popular editors in several fanbases, but at the same time provide genuine advice for editing.
The series was scrapped after I had realized (during a long inactive period) that I wasn't cut out for the project initiative. My equipment wasn't up to par, I didn't know how to use After Effects very well (despite many people already being sole AE editors); it just completely fell apart.
For this reason, I thought it would've been better if I handed over the series to someone else so it wouldn't die. A friend of mine (who will remain unnamed for the sake of privacy) agreed to take over the series from there, and thus posted this video to the @belikeaneditor Instagram account as a teaser.
Needless to say, he couldn't work with it, and the series was officially terminated and deemed a failed project. Be Like an Editor was an idea with lots of potential, but its downfall came from my inhibitions and inability to execute it. So... back to the drawing board.
