Manipur Violence: After a mob torched the residence of Union Minister R K Ranjan Singh at Kongba in Imphal on June 15, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs responded to the incident and said, "The law and order situation in Manipur has totally failed.” The Union Minister also said that he was shocked by the incident but requested that people maintain peace. However, this was not the only instance of a house being set on fire by a violent mob on June 15. At least two abandoned houses were set ablaze on Thursday afternoon.
