Last week I released a video on the Geology of the Sphinx and within 3 hours I took it down and that’s in fairness to you, the viewers, because thanks to comments from both Anyextee and Manu Seyfzadeh they immediately presented things I had not considered or mentioned. This is a vastly complicated subject and I welcomed their insights. It’s not often I take down a video so quickly and this subject is so important and needs to be more thorough. For that reason this is now part 1 of a two part mini series.
The reason I made the video in the first place is thanks to the outstanding new video from Anyextee, titled The Sphinx Explained: Origins, Identity and Hidden Entrances, which, I’ll say again, is arguably the best, unbiased investigation into the Sphinx on YouTube. Watch the video here: [ Ссылка ]
Even if you’re a bit of a know-it-all like me, you will learn something in his video, that’s for sure – I know I did. Anyextee discusses many things and touches upon a specific subject in the controversy surrounding the age of the Sphinx.
It’s not just the erosion patterns seen on enclosure wall that has led researchers Robert Schoch and John Anthony West to propose a new original date of the monument, but it’s the seismic surveys that were conducted by Dr Robert Schoch and Thomas Dobecki in the early 1990s.
As Anyextee said, most alternative researchers and YouTubers rarely mention this latter study – and admittedly that includes me, and you’ll see why shortly, because of the complexity of this video. It’s easy to look at the erosion patterns and say yey or ney as to whether or not you believe it is rain-induced weathering, but many forget there is scientific data to underpin it – the seismic surveys by Schoch and Dobecki.
I have Masters Degree in Geology and I should be able to have a better understanding of the data than most, so in this take 2 of my look at the geology of the Sphinx, that’s what I’ll be looking at first and foremost. Does the interpretation of the seismic data really point to the Sphinx being 7-10,000 years old, or is there another more simpler interpretation? Watch the video to learn more.
