When I was planning a summer train trip around the country I knew I wanted to finally go to LA. And the Southwest Chief is one of the last sleeper trains I haven’t taken and this was an excellent opportunity to try it out for myself, traveling through the Midwest & Southwest. With all my things to do in tow, I think I’m a pro at keeping myself entertained at this point. So let’s take the Amtrak Southwest Chief from Chicago to Los Angeles!
