Europe's greatest Forró Festival - A film by Gundula Bergter

Coming soon... Europe`s greatest Forró Festival 2013... and this time even bigger! The festival of the most practiced couple dance in Brazil:
# # # # # From the 30th May until the 2nd of June 2013 # # # # #
you will get the rare chance to learn and experience Forró in Stuttgart so intensively (or even more!) as in Brazil - on four whole exciting days!

2011 the Forró lessons were enlarged by more Forró teachers and a further course level. The Brazilian teachers Terra and Jidu (São Paulo), Junio (Minas Gerais), Pablo (Belo Horizonte/Lissabon), Marion (Paris), Vinicius (Apucarana/Paris) and Cesar (Belo Horizonte), co-founder of the well-kown Forró movement "Pé Descalço", gave you plenty of opportunities to gain knowledge of different Forró styles and techniques. In addition, you had the great opportunity to be taught how to dance Samba de Gafieira with Junio and Samba-Rock with Walter (São Paulo/Stuttgart) -- two other famous couple dances from Brazil. And the talented dancer and musician Téco Canindé (Recife/Thonon-les-Bains) gave us the chance to learn Coco and Xaxado, two Brazilian dances, whose rhythms are related to Forró.
On Thursday evening we celebrated the start of the festival with the party Forró&Grill. On Friday and Saturday night you got the possibility to show the newly learned skills on the dance floor or just to enjoy Caipirinha and life band on Germany`s biggest Forró parties. We were very proud to present you the successful guitar player, singer and song writer Arleno Farias, whose Brazilian melodies are currently audible in Europe and who was our musical highlight on Saturday. Life music all night long!
Sunday night nobody had to stay alone at home. We concluded our Festival with a final get-together and even more Forró on our tradicional Forró de Domingo party.
