At least 10 people are dead and 10 others are missing after a rebel attack in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It happened on the outskirts of the city of Beni, in a region beset by violence involving the Allied Democratic Forces armed group.

People living there say the government of President Joseph Kabila has abandoned them.
