Two suspected cattle thieves have been shot dead by police in Kiandutu slums of Thika town.
Area ocpd Paul Leting says police have been trailing the two suspects following reports that they have been visiting the area at odd hours of the night.
Police managed to trace the two in an abandoned house in the area.it is alleged that the suspects engaged the police in a gun battle before they were shot dead. Police managed to recover 2 slaughtered animals, 6 knives, military clothes, and 5 live cows.
Two other suspects managed to escape and Thika police have launched a manhunt for them.
