Hyderabad witnessed a second bout of torrential rain on Saturday, days after heavy rainfall devastated Telangana earlier this week. Heavy water-logging led to traffic snarls in several areas. Two more people also died in rain-related incidents in Hyderabad on Sunday. In a video he posted on Twitter, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police said evacuation is being carried out in low-lying areas. Relentless rain over the past week in Hyderabad has also caused damage to the iconic Golconda Fort. On Saturday, a team of Archaeological Survey of India officials said some walls of the 500-year-old monument have been damaged.
