A Varanasi court on Friday ruled that the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) can conduct a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque premises, except for the sealed area -- the 'wazukhana', which is the ablution area of the mosque.
The court ordered the carbon dating of the mosque, located next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi.
