This is a face-off between two of the greatest producers in Valpolicella. Quintarelli representing the old school and Dal Forno Romano representing the new school of wine producers from this region- this is sure to be an all out battle. The styles of these two producers are dramatically different; Quintarelli dries his fruit for making Amarone much longer than Dal Forno therefore making a sweeter style of Amarone. Quintarelli also ages his wines in larger old oak casks whereas Dal Forno ages his wines in new French barriques and only keeps them in wood for around 2-3 years depending on the vintage. Join us as we taste through 4 different wines from each producer pared to a special tasting menu prepared by Wine Watch Caterings Toni Lampasone. The fee for this tasting is $495 + tax, for reservations call 954-523-9463.
