The young Othawa male appears to be flirting with disaster. As he ventures further afield since leaving his natal pride the (Othawa pride ) around a month ago, it would appear that he is now possibly setting himself up for danger towards the Birmingham Boys.
In north of Londolozi just Forty Eight hours ago he was seen hanging around the mhangeni lionesses, he is starting to place himself in mortal danger from the Birmingham males It is still unknown why one of the lionesses would roar occasionally at his presence, either she was vocalising defiance to the Tsalala female downstream , or she was communicating with the Birmingham males.
The Othawa male has already began scent marking, this behaviour is usually associated with territorial males and is a risky thing for a young lone lion to be doing. The Birmingham Boys then came into the area very quietly.
