As fighting to counter-insurgency in Nigeria continues, the Nigerian Army conducts exercises and rigorous training and drills in marksmanship, unarmed battle drills, and other advanced Special Forces training for its troops at the Nigerian Army Training Centre located in Kachia's local government area of Kaduna State.
The exercise titled "Restore Hope IV," which began on January 25, 2023, trained troops from various formations and units across the country to equip Nigerian soldiers for effective services towards gaining national security.
While commending the trained officers, the chief of army staff, Major General Faruq Yahaya, urged the army to deploy skills and knowledge gained from training during operations within and outside Nigeria.
He, however, reiterated his commitment to supporting the army with every essential, as the previously trained soldiers of Restore Hope 1, 2, and 3 have shown effectiveness during operations.
The army chief also commended the exercise instructors for a successful exercise and ensured the army would engage the recently graduated soldiers of the Nigerian Army in the exercise as such will boost the country’s security mechanism to effectively counter-insurgency.
He further commended the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, for supporting the Army with all the needed support for smoother operations and national security.
