On this occasion Karad's supporters were present in large numbers. Valmik Karad's name came up in Santosh Deshmukh murder case. The opposition continuously criticized Karad. Karad was alleged to be close to Minister Munde. Valmik Karad disappeared after the matter escalated. He was being thoroughly searched. Finally Valmik Karad surrendered today.
मस्साजोगचे सरपंच संतोष देशमुख हत्या प्रकरणातील मास्टरमाईंड असल्याचा संशयित आरोपी वाल्मिक कराड याने अखेर शरणागती पत्करली. वाल्मिक कराडने पुणे सीआयडी अधिकाऱ्यांसमोर सरेंडर केले. यावेळी कराडचे समर्थक मोठ्या प्रमाणावर उपस्थित होते. संतोष देशमुख हत्या प्रकरणात वाल्मिक कराडचे नाव समोर आले. विरोधकांनी सातत्याने कराडवर टीका केली. कराड हा मंत्री मुंडे यांचा निकटवर्तीय असल्याचा आरोप करण्यात आला होता. प्रकरण आणखीच तापल्यानंतर वाल्मिक कराड गायब झाला होता. त्याचा कसून शोध घेतला जात होता. अखेर वाल्मिक कराडने आज शरणागती पत्करली.
