It was an honor and a pleasure to present at the Maine State Bar Association Summer Conference in Bar Harbor, Maine to fellow attorneys on navigating the legal and ethical landscape of social media confidentiality, investigation essentials and means of service. We encouraged attendees (only two in the room had ever attempted!) to embrace the potential of social media and text messaging as a means of alternate service in their law practices.

As an early adopter, I know first hand that it was the legal equivalent of the wild wild west filing these motions 10-15 years ago. Now it is accepted practice and an incredibly efficient, practical and fair means of service in many cases that require alternate means.
