By: Christina ColemanMatthew Taylor Mays, 21, was arrested for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon at a standoff at the Seven Oaks Apartments in the 5000 block of DannyKaye Drive.Police believe he and another individual robbed four people in the 2000 block of Babcock Road. Officer Matt Porter says they stole purses, cell phones and keys. Investigators say Mays then held himself up in the Seven Oaks Apartment Complex. However, they believe the other suspect got away.Four people were in the apartment unit that Mays was held up in.Investigators took the four people into questioning, bu they are not facing any charges. They were inside the same apartment unit as Mays during the standoff.No one was injured during the standoff. Many neighbors watched as policesurrounded the complex.San Antonio Police Officer Matthew Porter says law enforcement did a good job,It's our goal to end situations like this with a peaceful resolution. It was a good job by SWAT Team negotiators and patrol officers on the scene. They were able to contain the scene. They were able to get everyone in harms way out of the area.Mays was also charged with injury to a child last September after his baby boy was taken to the hospital with a fractured skull and broken legs.
