This is a 1″ quick release Grimloc D Ring that is used in the US Military. The D ring attaches to MOLLE compatible surfaces with the slots in the back of the ring. Also, there is a push button that releases the arm of the ring. You can attach this ring and use it as a tie down point for securing gear for easy access.
