Three people were killed in an early morning crash on I-40 in eastern Iredell County Thursday morning. North Carolina State Highway Patrol said the crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-40 just east of Statesville, North Carolina. All westbound traffic is being diverted onto US 64 with a detour set up to rejoin I-40 closer to I-77. #WakeUpCLT
