2021-2022 American College of Surgeons President Julie A. Freischlag, MD, FACS, FRCSEd(Hon), DFSVS, MAMSE, shares her Presidential Theme, #SurgeonsSowingHope, as a charge for Fellows to enhance recovery, elevate healing, and spread hope to their patients, communities, teams, and themselves.
In her Presidential Address, Dr. Freischlag encouraged surgeons “to share the many ways we are sowing hope with this hashtag on social media.” Hear from Dr. Freischlag about how sowing hope helps patients, how COVID-19 has affected surgical care, and what she has planned for the year ahead.
