► After disconnecting the battery on a Mercedes, you will need to reset or initialize the steering angle sensor to remove any fault messages for ABS, ESP, and BAS. Kyle performed the procedure on the project CLK550, but this procedure can be done on any Mercedes with the instructions provided by this video.
While stationary, simply turn the steering wheel in one direction, then the other, and then return to the straight position and begin driving. Any messages relating to steering angle issues will be cleared.
