The eleven day immersion of Ganesh idols took place on Tuesday evening and night across the state, commemorating a beloved ritual. Devotees from all walks of life joining together to bid farewell to Lord Ganesh. Before immersing the idol, families performed poojas. The immersions are symbolic of Lord Ganesh's return to his celestial parents, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
